Why You Need to Include Cardio in Your Workout Regiment
Cardio is one of the most mentally demanding breakdowns in your health and workout regiments. Cardio can help with more than just cardiovascular functions. It assists with toning and burning calories to cut body fat. In addition, it helps with the most important aspect of your workout and that is your mentality. Here’s a secret, cardio is just a game between your mind and your body; fighting to prove which one has control. You have to make your mind strong enough in order for your body to follow.
But cardio does not have to be just running on a treadmill or on cross country trail. Go out there and switch it up every other day.
Example:
Mon: Treadmill
Tue: Spin/Bike – 20 min
Wed: Basketball
Thurs: Elliptical – 30 min
Fri: Flag Football
Sat: Cross Country Trail – 2 mile
Sun: Rest
You can switch it up as you please. The amount of cardio depends on your training goals. If you are a marathon or distance increase the amount of cardio you do during the week to 4-6 days a wek and also increase the amount of mileage. If you just want to cut fat and stay lean do 2-3 days a week of 2-3 miles. At the end of the day you have to have STRONG MIND to get that STRONG BODY you desire.
